clamcleat

Clamcleats Ltd design and manufacture high quality cleats to hold ropes up to 16mm for dinghies, sailboats, catamarans and industrial applications.

The company launched in 1965 and as the first patents were applied for, the Clamcleat trademark was registered.

Initially made of plastic, aluminium cleats were introduced in 1972 to handle higher requirements for racing and as a result the Clamcleat Racing line was born.

The range now features over 125 models of plastic and aluminium cleats, all of which are manufactured in the United Kingdom.

With over 50 years of experience in rope holding devices, Clamcleat can develop custom solutions to suit any given application.

SIDE ENTRY CLEATS

Side entry cleats allow the rope to be removed from the side of the cleat and placed back into the teeth easier. Perfect for use with spinnaker guy sheets where the leeward cleat is not required. Flush with fresh water regularly to maintain ultimate performance.

AUTO RELEASE CLEATS

Auto release cleats allow the cleat to release once it reaches a set load. Suitable for 4 to 6 mm rope. The hinged cleat sits in a plastic housing, the load can be adjusted and re-set with ease. Perfect for rudder downhauls and dagger plates to prevent damage if it hits an underwater obstruction.

ROLLER CLEATS

Roller cleats have an internal sheave within the cleat to allow rope entry from more obtuse angles from above or below the cleat. They also reduce friction when guiding rope into the cleat. Suitable for 3 to 8 mm rope sizes.

AERO CLEATS

Aero cleats are easy to rig and adjust without using tools. Three sizes of base give over 20 combinations. Multiple uses, from kitesurfing brake lines and tent guy lines, to sun-sails.
