U ROPE
The U Rope product range consists of strong mooring and anchor lines, multipurpose and waterproof tapes, stainless steel shackles, plus sail ties, splicing tools and accessories.
Ropes are strong, durable, rot-proof, chemical and UV resistant, and due to low-density fibres can be tied and spliced with ease.
The company started as LA84 in 1988 by Guido Alkemade, a Dutch sailor who represented his country at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles.
Joining forces with Dutch sailor, Hubb Lambriex, they later went on to sell the company in 2006 to On Deck and Beyond before the U Rope band was created.

MOORING & ANCHORING LINES
U Rope provide a range of mooring and anchoring lines, including 3-strand and double braided designs which are rot-proof, resistant to chemicals and easy to splice. Available in various sizes and colours.
U ROPE SHACKLES
Stainless steel shackles come in a range of designs and sizes with varying break strengths. Products include standard, wide, long and twisted d shackles, bow, key and snap shackles, plus carabiners with multiple features. Lengths from 14mm - 128mm, break strength from 199kg - 4999kg.
U ROPE TAPES
U Rope tapes include anti-slip, duct, waterline sail repair, spinnaker, self-amalgamating, PVC/electrical, mast, SOLAS reflective and self-adhesive hook and loop tape. Available in multiple lengths and colours.
U ROPE SPLICING
On Deck UK can custom splice U Rope up to 50 metres in length for specific applications. Choose your own material, colour and construction and we will do the rest. We can splice ropes from Marlow, Robline and U Rope.
Order custom made sheets, halyards and mooring lines and they will arrive cut and spliced to your requirements.
HOW TO ORDER CUSTOM LINES
1) Choose the line, colour and rope type you want.
2. Select the length and diameter.
3. Decide what type of splice and eye size you need. The type of splice may depend on the line you choose, but the eye size you choose yourself.
4. Need anything spliced into the line? Different shackles can be added, for example, Tylaska, Wichard or Harken lead rings.
